Every summer, my family counts down the days until school lets out, and once it does, we're chasing water any way we can find it — the beach, the lake, a waterfall in the mountains, and most often, my brother's pool (he lives seven minutes away and I have a key, so he really can't get rid of us).

Since I can't exactly host a pool party at someone else's house, I bring the party to the pitcher instead. This punch is bright, fruity, and dangerously easy to sip on a hot afternoon by somebody else's pool.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sliced strawberries, divided
  • 2 lemons, sliced
  • 1 container frozen lemonade concentrate
  • 1 1/2 liters Moscato*
  • 1 liter ginger ale

Instructions

  1. 1Combine 1 cup of the strawberries and the frozen lemonade concentrate in a blender. Puree until the strawberry chunks are small.
  2. 2Pour the moscato and ginger ale into a pitcher and stir together.
  3. 3Pour the strawberry lemonade mixture through a mesh strainer if you'd like to skip the strawberry seeds, then add it to the pitcher and stir.
  4. 4Add the remaining strawberries and lemon slices. Serve chilled.

Tips

  • If moscato is too sweet for your taste, swap in a dry white wine like Pinot Grigio or Chardonnay instead.
