I'll admit it: sometimes I want a cup of hot chocolate and don't want the kids anywhere near it. My solution is either to spike it so it's not kid-friendly, or pretend it's coffee so they lose interest. Mother of the Year, right here.
I love the combination of Irish cream, chocolate, and coffee together, topped with whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup. Fair warning: this one goes down a little too easily.
Ingredients
- 1 oz. coffee liqueur
- 1 oz. Irish cream liqueur
- 1 oz. creme de cacao
- 10 oz. hot chocolate
- whipped cream and chocolate syrup, for garnish
Instructions
- 1Make the hot chocolate according to the package directions in a 16 oz. mug.
- 2Add the liqueurs and stir well.
- 3Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate syrup.
Tips
- Three ounces of liquor can be strong depending on your tolerance — feel free to scale it back.
